Working with our middle school participants and school partners, Jalaneya plans to create an engaging and informative curriculum that will prepare students for their next grade level and help them achieve their goals. By providing a range of workshops, experiential learning opportunities, and more, it is her hope that all students learn about the possibilities and skills they can gain for future college and career opportunities.
Over the past seven years, Jalaneya has worked and volunteered in a variety of educational settings supporting students’ college and career readiness. She has been a student mentor and tutor, an AmeriCorps volunteer working as an education and employment support specialist, and a college admissions counselor.
An east coast native, Jalaneya earned her B.A. in Philosophy and Gender & Women’s Studies from Villanova University. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Education Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work and school, Jalaneya enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and learning new hobbies.
